BIO Interior design

This Goldmann & Partners’ division is dedicated to making spaces with high biological quality for the benefit of the people’s physical and psychological health, specifically related to residential buildings.

Each person is like a seismograph: he or she produces, regarding environmental health conditions, both physical and behavioural reactions.

These completely unconscious reactions are a direct result of indoor materials and furnishing toxicity level, of room sizing for each specific function, and also of well-being general perception that the house arouses.
Goldmann & Partners designs “organic” homes according to the sustainable and bioclimatic architecture most up-to-date criteria, to the benefit of all inhabitants and/or guests, with particular reference to environments designed to accommodate children, the elderly, the sick and all those who are interested in minimizing toxic emissions into the environment and maximizing the comfort level at home.
This involves a systemic (holistic) approach in a preventive “house due diligence” and in the identification of the best technical solutions for a maximum level of living comfort.

Great care is put in optimizing the rooms’ space planning, with the aim of better exploiting all the available surface while devoting maximum attention to the chemical and physical nature of the technical choices, referring to materials, furnishings and plant systems.

This means a very significant commitment to the analysis and selection of the most suitable materials to ensure a high-quality level of indoor air. This leads to the control of the healthiest chemical composition of building materials, of furniture and coatings, finishing, and all other furnishing materials including furniture and fabrics.

From the plant engineering point of view, the choices are always oriented towards the maximum possible reduction of the plant load, to the identification of the “lightest” plant systems for summer/winter air conditioning, to the reduction of high temperatures presence in heating systems (known sources of air unhealthiness) and to the maximum reduction of magnetic fields.

All this in full compliance with the latest trends in interior decoration, new electronic technologies, home automation and the maximum enhancement of customer’s wishes from the point of view of the final, formal, effect.

This accurate systemic approach produces a strong benefit both for the inhabitants and for the spaces themselves, in terms of less obsolescence, greater spaces and indoor air quality, less presence of polluting substances, and constant control of the construction/renovation and subsequent management costs.

A house of high biological and sustainable quality, indeed, does not cost and must not cost more than a normal house. On the contrary, it is often possible to have a continuous control in all phases, which makes it particularly suitable for homes of particular complexity or delicacy or historical/artistic interest, where the protection and preservation of objects, furniture, and artworks of value are particularly challenging.

BIO Home Scouting

Home’s choice must meet many technical requirements, as well as the particular needs of each customer (location, size, distances from points of interest, etc.).
Goldmann & Partners provides Bio Home Scouting service, an accompaniment with timely verification of the actual physical-chemical-ergonomic adequacy, solar orientation, shape, specific technical and boundary conditions, of each house/apartment people intend to buy or rent.
This service is decisive to choose the best house, define essential costs for realizing and maintaining the home, in the state of distribution of the premises and optimal healthiness for all the occupants.

DESIGN

BIO Interior Design

Goldmann & Partners’ applies its scientific research to the entire construction/renovation housing process that you want to obtain with high biological quality characteristics. Goldmann & Partners offers its scientific verification activities both in direct design than in support of other professional designers:

Pattern Dynamics ® Interiors

Goldmann & Partners’ Pattern Dynamics® original protocol (see IRCAS Study Center) is the most advanced tool for verifying the ergonomic adequacy of space distribution.

Ergonomics is the scientific discipline that studies the dimensional relationships between people and the space around them.
In short, Pattern Dynamics® verifies, on the project, the spatial relationships among the various environments.
This way, optimisation opportunities can arise, and critical issues can be solved in the house/apartment planning.
All spaces are correctly used, and well perceived as comfortable by all occupants.
It is a scientific design tool based on proven mathematical models that relate the three-dimensional relationships between the apartment/house existing space and the possible occupants’ behaviour.
These help to determine precisely the best design solution for each room sizing and distribution.

Best Performance Navigator ®

The design of a house with high biological quality characteristics must apply a precise control on all the chemical and physical contributions coming from the materials used for the realization/restructuring.
This approach reduces the presence of indoor pollutants and evaluates the overall balance of physical and psychological health of the proposed design solutions.
Goldmann & Partners has produced the scientific design support protocol Best Performance Navigator ®, a real guide for the designer, which displays and measures in real time the global presence of technical problems of the project.
It corrects and optimally balances each choice for the benefit of maximum well-being perceived by the end users.
The tool also allows precise control of the cost system, both in the construction/restructuring phase and in future maintenance costs, to make every element of the decision fully transparent.
